He would continue to live there until his death, always with a camera in hand.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Robby M\u00fcller was one of the greatest pioneers in his field. He worked with directors such as Wim Wenders on such iconic films as Alice in den St\u00e4dten (1974), Im Lauf der Zeit(1976) and Paris, Texas (1984); Jim Jarmusch' Down by Law (1986), Dead Man (1995) and Mystery Train (1989); Lars von Trier's Breaking the Waves (1996) and Dancer in the Dark (2000).<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>Amsterdam Photos<\/strong><br \/>\nUpon returning to Amsterdam, M\u00fcller recorded the city as he saw it, as a collection of reflections, paying attention to reflections in store windows or on a hood, a striking interplay of lines, and, as befits a \"Master of Light,\" the characteristic Amsterdam light.<\/p>\n<p>For years, the photos sat in archive boxes until, in 2019, his wife, picture editor Andrea M\u00fcller-Schirmer was asked to publish a weekly column in the Dutch newspaper Het Parool. For a year, a photo appeared every week, always of Amsterdam, always unmistakably Robby M\u00fcller. Amsterdam light, the column was called, true to its creator's aesthetic. The photos show M\u00fcller's view of Amsterdam, with its characteristic play of light and lines, reflection and composition.
