Corbin's interest in music has been the driving force behind an illustrious decades-long career that has recently focused on making such feature films as The American, A Most Wanted Man and Life, to be released later this year. This beautifully illustrated, oversized book is a tribute to Corijn's obsession with rock and roll - an interest that has led to lifelong friendships with Bono, Michael Stipe, Dave Gahan and other iconic musicians. The book looks back over three decades and includes hundreds of creative, unconventional images that Corbijn was able to capture largely because of his close relationship with his subjects. Nearly every respected musician and band is represented in Corbijn's archives: Nick Cave to Nirvana, U2 to R.E.M., the Rolling Stones to Siouxie and the Banshees. Many of the portraits are accompanied by their own take on Corbijn's distinctive style and approach. Also included here are previously unpublished photographs of the late Joe Cocker and the band Depeche Mode, who considered him an honorary member.
