The coffee table book \"Hungry Eyes\" showcases 50 years of photography by internationally acclaimed photographer Patricia Steur. A successful independent photographer since 1980. Her photographic interests range from celebrity portraits to tribal tattoos, from rock 'n' roll to human interest.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the 1980s she was still laughed at: 'Look, there's Steur, she's going to try it too.' A woman in a man's world of rock stars, egos and spoiled celebrities. But Patricia Steur managed to penetrate where others stayed out. She toured with the biggest stars, helped gain acceptance for tattoos, photographed glamour \u00e1nd indigenous peoples.<\/p>\n

From shy girl, Steur grew into a role model. A highlight was her work in New Zealand, where a Maori tribe opened up to her. The exhibition at the Scheepvaartmuseum attracted 25,000 visitors and gave her international recognition. Yet her mission remained unchanged: to make visible people and stories that would otherwise go unnoticed.<\/p>\n

After more than forty years, ten photography books and countless exhibitions, Patricia shares memories, vision and life lessons in her latest coffee-table book, \"Hungry Eyes. With her motto \"Bad things happen for a good reason,\" she continues to inspire.<\/p>\n
