Thomas Hoepker is one of the most influential photographers of our time. His talent for turning fleeting moments into lasting art has made him a legend of modern photography. The famous Magnum and Leica photographer has had a lasting influence on the visual language of German photojournalism since the 1960s. His works are characterized by emotional depth, social relevance and precise image composition, making him a master of "engaged photography.

This new, high-quality coffee table book is a tribute to the extraordinary oeuvre of Thomas Hoepker. Hoepker, born in Munich in 1936, began photographing as a teenager. After his first successes in competitions, he worked for well-known magazines such as Münchener Illustrierte and Kristall. From 1964 he shaped the visual language of the magazine tern as a full-time photographer. In 1989 he became the first German full member of the renowned agency Magnum and served as its president from 2003 to 2007.
