David Yarrow
David Yarrow is a British fine art photographer, conservationist, philanthropist and author. His subjects include sports stars, world-famous models, wildlife, indigenous communities and landscapes.
David Yarrow was born in 1966 in Glasgow, Scotland. The Scot has built an unparalleled reputation for capturing the beauty of the world's remote landscapes, cultures and endangered animals. David's photographs are among the most sought-after works in the industry.
David Yarrow began photography at an early age. At age 20, he worked as a photographer for The London Times on the field during the World Cup final in Mexico City, one of many sporting events David covered as a press photographer.
David refuses to be categorized into a genre of photography for convenience, and his career, which began with the famous photograph of Diego Maradona in Mexico City in 1986, has taken him on a relentless journey around the world.
After college, however, David went into banking and founded a hedge fund - a sector in which he was active for many years. In 2014, he sold the fund to return to what had always been his passion.
His subjects were sports stars, wild animals, supermodels and frontier towns. His books 'David Yarrow: Wild Encounters‘, ‘David Yarrow Photography' and 'David Yarrow Storytelling', for which he has captured some of the most endangered species on earth, are loved by photography, nature and wildlife enthusiasts and celebrities around the world.
HRH the Duke of Cambridge wrote the foreword for the book "David Yarrow: Wild Encounters," and all copyrights to the book have been donated by Yarrow to charity.
