Designer Piet Hein Eek has been considered an established name on the international scene for decades, especially in his home country of the Netherlands. With his designs of simple materials and understated design, Eek manages to attract worldwide attention. His cabinet made of scrap wood is included in the collection of the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam.

Since studying at the Design Academy Eindhoven, his career has developed into a wide range of activities, ranging from the production of furniture, lighting and accessories to interiors and buildings. In addition to his own collection and free work, Eek's work varies widely. It is characterized by a subservient and pragmatic approach in which the ever-growing production possibilities are decisive.
